About WSRA
The Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA) provides leadership and education that fosters the expansion, diversity, and economic vitality of recycling in support of sustainable resource management.
One of the oldest and strongest state recycling organizations in the country, WSRA leads the state recycling industry through networking, public education, legislative review, and professional development.
Students/AmeriCorps/Emerging Professionals Invited to Apply for Scholarship
WSRA welcomes higher education students, AmeriCorps volunteers, and emerging professionals working for non-profits associated with the recycling/waste reduction industry to attend our Annual Conference and Trade Show, May 15-18, 2022. The conference will be held at the beautiful Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, WA. Undergraduate or graduate students age 18 or older who are currently enrolled in college, university, or trade school, or recently graduated (fall/winter of 2021) are encouraged to apply for scholarships to attend the conference as student guests as well as graduates fulfilling AmeriCorps service or who are professionals new to the industry working in the non-profit sector.
Scholarships include full registration which includes all educational sessions, hotel accommodations, workshops, and networking events. Recipients will also be mentored during the conference by a WSRA board member and receive a one-year individual membership to the WSRA in exchange for active engagement in one of the organization’s committees.
