About WSRA

The Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA) provides leadership and education that fosters the expansion, diversity and economic vitality of recycling in support of sustainable resource management.

One of the country’s oldest and strongest state recycling organizations, WSRA leads the state recycling industry through networking, public education, legislative review, and professional development.

The Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA), a statewide nonprofit committed to promoting and advancing waste reduction practices and policies in the Northwest and beyond, is now accepting applications for a scholarship to attend its annual conference. These scholarships are available to higher education students, AmeriCorps volunteers, members of underrepresented communities where the cost of attendance is prohibitive, and professionals new to the industry. This conference is an outstanding opportunity for future leaders to network with waste reduction professionals, expand their knowledge of the recycling and waste reduction industry, and prepare themselves for a career in a rewarding and innovative field. The scholarship covers the cost of hotel accommodations during the conference, educational sessions and networking opportunities, mentoring by a board member at the event, and WSRA membership dues for the remainder of 2023. Assistance with transportation to the conference will also be evaluated based on need.
