Recycling Behavior Change Grant Opportunity

Earlier this year, WSRA partnered with The Recycling Partnership (TRP) to bring their nationally recognized engagement workshop to Washington—highlighting TRP’s proven “Recipe” for driving meaningful recycling behavior change.

Now, TRP is seeking Washington partners interested in deploying this recipe through a behaviorally informed, multichannel engagement campaign designed to deliver recycling program improvements. Selected communities will focus on increasing participation and set‑out rates in single‑family curbside recycling, improving the quality and capture of recyclable materials—especially under‑recovered plastic container formats—and boosting overall community awareness of recycling’s value.

During the webinar, TRP will share:

• Examples of proven tactics and new approaches being tested across the country that would be deployed in these projects
• Insights from ongoing national research on increasing recycling participation and container recovery
• Details on available funding, eligibility, and project expectations for Washington communities
