WSRA Mattress Recycling Facility Tour

Join WSRA for a tour of The Recycle Warehouse, a non-profit mattress recycling facility in Everett. They handle used mattresses collected from King County’s Transfer Stations in addition to large quantities from businesses around Puget Sound ranging from mattress showrooms to hotels. This year Washington’s legislature is considering a mattress stewardship bill, and so our mid-April tour date is timed with this in mind. Whether or not the bill passes, this tour will be highly informative to see how a small-scale recycling facility processes an impressive volume of mattresses to maximize recycling, reuse, and giving back to the local community. Read about the warehouse in the Herald newspaper article.

Maximum Participants: 30
What to wear: Closed-toed shoes, clothing, you don’t mind getting dusty. No need to bring a hard hat/PPE
Where to park: Carpooling is strongly encouraged!
Parking is very limited: The facility can only accommodate up to 10 visitor cars; please use this spreadsheet to carpool with other attendees!
