WSRA Mattress Tour

Join WSRA for a tour of The Recycle Warehouse, a non-profit mattress recycling facility in their NEW Mukilteo facility. They handle used mattresses collected from King County’s Transfer Stations in addition to large quantities from businesses around Puget Sound ranging from mattress showrooms to hotels. Next year Washington’s legislature is considering a mattress stewardship bill, and so our tour date is timed with this in mind. Whether or not the bill passes, this tour will be highly informative to see how a small-scale recycling facility processes an impressive volume of mattresses to maximize recycling, reuse, and giving back to the local community. Read about the warehouse in the Herald newspaper article.
